• I’m editing content for a WordPress site using version 2.7.1

When I save the changes, the time at the bottom of the content field in the Edit (page or post) screens displays a time and date…

But that varies depending on the UTC time setting you use in your General settings.

Here’s a weird one for you — if you set the time to PST time — that’s -8 UTC. If you set the time to Chicago (CST) that’s -6 UTC

But the results in Last Updated (after making a change and saving) don’t reflect the correct times. At roughly 4:20pm PST, I’m currently using a -8 or PST setting, made an edit in a page, saved and the Last Updated said 3:20.

Now I reset the UTC time to -6 (is is 4:27pm PST here in California) and the Last Updated time after an edit and save is 5:27pm.

    HUH? Shouldn’t it be 6:27pm?

BUG? Anyone know? Fixed in 2.8x?
