ADMIN import inclusion of S9Y, Serendipity

There is a serendipity.php file that works to IMPORT the S9Y DB into the WP 2.9 DB and older. For rather complicated process reasons I need to have it work in 3.3.1. (rather than import to 2.9 and upgrade).

The file is mostly complete. In fact it was worked on recently by Simone to get it into tools/import as a plugin to activate. It appears, engages and moves the categories over just fine. It then errors out when it gets to USERS, due to an API call.

Is it possible to get this file written into IMPORT OPTIONS of WP 3.3.1? As most of the work is already done, it could be relatively easy?
