    This article lists 7 completely different ways to reset your password. Any one of them will work and do the job. Find the one that’s right for you and use that: https://wordpress.org/support/article/resetting-your-password/

    Thanks Steven

    The resetting of the password isn’t the issue, I understand how to do this and have removed and added a new user through phpmyadmin, this still doesn’t resolve the Admin Dashboard access. I can login in, just have no Admin Dashboard access. Once again fresh install of WordPress, so everything is default, then imported the backup database and logged in successfully, but still no Admin Dashboard access. I have used a backup Database from August this year as my test, thinking that I wouldn’t have an issue as I do not know when the problem occurred as I was able to access the site about 4-6 weeks ago. The permissions are correct.

    Are you sure the account in question is really an admin account? What do you see for it in wp_usermeta?

    Hi Steven, yes – there are 3 accounts, 2 with Admin privileges and one with Editor Previliages only. All 3, including the Editor, are being treated as a user only, no admin dashboard access, or editor dashboard access.

    The capabilities are set as they should be a:1:{s:13:”administrator”;b:1;} user level 10, this is a strange error that I might possibly be overlooking something simple.

    Hmmmm… I wonder if at one time, you messed with the capabilities for roles.

    I moved the website from one server to another at one point and I noticed today that the prefix was still from the old server for the users, I only just recently removed that site from the other server that I have, so can’t go back and check it, I modified the prefix to be the same as the tables today, but it made no difference to getting access to the Admin Dashboard.

    There must be a fix for this type of thing.

    Ok I have resolved my issue and it wasn’t the standard lines of permissions to get me back into the Admin Dashboard. This might be worth noting if you ever have a similar issue.

    Though, I am not using a membership plugin, adding this full string got me the access that I required again.

    a:14:{s:13:”administrator”;b:1;s:15:”membershipadmin”;b:1;s:24:”membershipadmindashboard”;b:1;s:22:”membershipadminmembers”;b:1;s:21:”membershipadminlevels”;b:1;s:28:”membershipadminsubscriptions”;b:1;s:22:”membershipadmincoupons”;b:1;s:24:”membershipadminpurchases”;b:1;s:29:”membershipadmincommunications”;b:1;s:21:”membershipadmingroups”;b:1;s:20:”membershipadminpings”;b:1;s:23:”membershipadmingateways”;b:1;s:22:”membershipadminoptions”;b:1;s:32:”membershipadminupdatepermissions”;b:1;}
