# Admin dashboard and plugins not loading

 * Hello,
    So far my wordpress site was working perfectly, but in the last 2 days
   something happened with th wp-admin site… The wp-admin dashboard is not loading
   at all. We can login using the direct /wp-login.php and than most of the admin
   tabs are available and working. The weird is that only the Dashboard and the 
   Plugins sections are not loading (white screen) [http://ketkeretkem.hu/wp-admin/](http://ketkeretkem.hu/wp-admin/)
 * The issue started when the 3.9.1 was installed and unfortunately stayed after
   the site automatically updated to the new 3.9.2.
    I tried also to load back an
   older backup (1 week before this happened) and still no change…
 * Do you have any idea, what’s causing this issue?
    Would appreciate any help!

 * Try [manually resetting your plugins](http://codex.wordpress.org/FAQ_Troubleshooting#How_to_deactivate_all_plugins_when_not_able_to_access_the_administrative_menus.3F).
   If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the
   cause.
 * If that does not resolve the issue, access your server via [FTP or SFTP](http://codex.wordpress.org/FTP_Clients),
   navigate to `/wp-content/themes/` and rename the directory of your currently 
   active theme. This will force the default theme to activate and hopefully rule-
   out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

 * Thanks a lot for your hint, the plugin deactivating and one-by-one reactivating
   trick worked and found the faulty plugin…and now everything is running.
 * Now the tricky thing comes with the plugin how to solve, but that’s another game,
   this part is solved.
