Support » Plugin: Add Admin CSS » Admin CSS No Longer Working With WP 5.7

Hi Scott, I have been using your Admin CSS plugin for a while now and I love it, it has made admin dashboard changes so simple for me. Recently though I have noticed the plugin no longer works, all of the CSS that used to work no longer does. I know that with recent updates WordPress has gone from jQuery 1.12.4 to 3.5.1 and this has caused some compatibility problems with some plugins. I have ran conflict tests and Admin CSS does not seem to be having any conflicts with other plugins (although it is possible the conflict is with custom php. code I have added, but I doubt it). I was just wondering if you or anyone else has noticed problems since the recent update, and if so, if you are working on a solution and when that may come to fruition.

    Thanks so much, Anthany

  • I have a site running 5.7 with this plugin, and it still works fine for what I’m using it for. Perhaps there is another difference between your site and mine – the most likely difference I can imagine is that you’re using CSS for a different part of the admin interface than I am (or possibly that you have a conflict with another plugin I don’t have). I’m happy to compare site details if that would help you. For starters, I’m only using it for one purpose: to force the Media Gallery’s grid view to show the whole image instead of cropping to square. (Details) That is still working in 5.7.

[I came to this forum for a different reason, but this thread caught my eye. I was looking for a way to let Scott know that the plugin is mysteriously invisible in “Add Plugins” – I wanted to add it to another site, but I’ll have to download the ZIP and install it that way. I’m sure he’d want it to appear in the list, so I thought I’d let him know.]

Thank you so much for seeing this topic and actually taking the time to respond to me, it is greatly appreciated. I guess it must be a conflict with some other custom coding I have done (it is not a conflict from another plugin I have triple checked). I really appreciate the offer to compare site details but I think it is just a matter of going through some of my added php. to find the problem.

I also checked the problem you were having and can concur that this plugin no longer shows up in the “add plugins” area so I respect very much that you came to notify Scott.

Thanks again for your response, Anthany
