Admin creates new user. No email sent.

    When an admin creates a new user, merely the standard wp email is being sent. I set up a notification with “User registration”-trigger but it gets ignored.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Have you added the recipients to the notification? Also, wasn’t it moved to the spam folder?

    Ah that was it.

    I added the following in recipients section:
    email / merge tag
    value: {user_email}

    But now I do receive both, the default wp email notification AND the newly generated email with my custom text.

    Any advice on that?

    Ha! I’m glad you resolved it!

    You can disable the default email with Manage Notification E-mails plugin.
