Admin can do nothing – Permission problems

  • I migrated my site from Joomla1.5 to WordPress3.3.2. Migration was fine.

    After migration, I have installed some plugins such as IPBComments, Akismet, No Category Base and WP-Security

    I played with WordPress database manually for these modifications:

    – I have now a user called “devadmin” with user_id = 1
    – In wp_usermeta table, for user_id = 1 and meta_key = wp_capabilities; meta_value is a:1:{s:13:”administrator”;s:1:”1″;}
    – I’m using nginx so I modified my server config file a little bit.

    Now I can access the admin panel but I’m having these problems:
    1- Admin Panel -> Posts (or All Posts) (http://localhost/wp-admin/edit.php) gives me “Invalid Post Type” error. I checked my wp_posts table and each row has a post_type=”post”. I’m not using customer post type.
    2- When I manually add “?post_type=post” to above URL, post count is displayed correctly but posts are not being listed.
    3 – I can not access plugin’s edit pages. For example: IPBComments adds a submenu under the “Settings” menu. When I click IPBComments, I’m getting “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page”. It is the same for Akismet settings also.

    On the other hand, I can display posts on front side of my WordPress site.

    What is going on on this WordPress? Any help will be appreciated.
