admin bar has changed size

    Hello,

    In the back end of my site the admin bar on the left hand side of the screen seems to have shrunk and the titles can only be seen when you hover over a small grey box which has replaced the previous buttons.

    Here is a screen shot.

    Sorry I am not sure what version of wordpress I am using. Where do I find this information?
