Admin bar display issues (7 posts)

I'm not sure I'm in the right place as I'm not sure where the admin bar actually falls but anyway, here's my issue.

My admin bar "falls off the end" on my blog pages. It's fine on the admin pages but on the website the account link (the Howdy) and the search link are on a separate line underneath the rest of the bar, annoyingly in the way.

Does anyone know how I can fix this?

  2. It's probably your theme.

Try this solution. Visit your WordPress profile page on your WordPress installation and disable the option called Show Toolbar when viewing site.

That way the toolbar will only be displayed on the Admin pages.

but I like the admin bar :p

I don't suppose anyone knows where in the CSS I'll find something that can help

  4. but I like the admin bar :p

Gonna quote that one... If you're going to like it, refer to it respectfully as "The Toolbar". :)

Is it a theme in the WordPress repo? It might have a simple fix.

That's what it's based on... but it's.... well, heavily edited :D
I'm a web designer/developer by trade so normally I would write my own but I liked this one so just built on it. I have tried a few other themes too and I seem to be experiencing the same issues. If I could just find where the relevant sections of code I could try fixing it.

took a screeny if that helps http://www.unquenchable.co.uk/adminscreeny.png

  6. Well, the good news is that the untouched version of that theme does the same thing. So it's not your changes that did it. :)

But I'm not able to see why it doesn't work on that theme. I'm pretty sure it's a CSS thing but I'm not seeing what the problem is.
