• Hello, I recently noticed a problem on one of my multi networks. That is that the admin bar on the front end does not show and other WordPress functions like Password Protected pages do not work.

    To explain when this happens and what I’ve found so far in troubleshooting this, I want to establish that there is the primary network. The one that first existed before installing the plugin and setting up all of the additional networks. Also, in the wp-config.php file, there is the line where the domain to this network is defined: define('DOMAIN_CURRENT_SITE', 'mydomain');

    On that domain/network, I have no problems. And on the root directory of all the other networks everything works fine too. But on those other networks, as soon as something comes up after the, ‘.com,’ even if you’re still on the home page – the admin bar goes away and WordPress password protection stops working. So the same for any pages, posts, archives, etc.

    So far I have made sure everything is up to date, even recently went ahead and grabbed 2.1.0, I have deactivated every plugin, switched the theme over to the different basic WordPress ones (twentyfifteen and all the other years), set the permalinks to default, made sure the network setup was done just as directed for the wp-config.php and .htaccess files, but the problem still persists.

    I imagine the problem exists somewhere within the .htaccess file because of the url stuff I noticed, or it has to be within the wp-config.php or plugin somewhere.

    Thanks for the help!
