Hello. I am working on developing a new website (it is about ready to launch next week) as an upgrade to our current site. The front end works fine, however, once I login to wp-admin all I can see is the top and sider headers. The large section to the right (regardless of which page I go to using the left sidebar) is blank. This leaves me in a place where I cannot edit and finalize things for the site launch (because it isn’t live I cannot send you the site unfortunately).

I have tried the following unsuccessfully:

    1. uploading a new pluggins folder.
    2. looking for problematic links in the wp-config.php file.

One last tidbit, I am not sure if they are related, but the last website tweak I did before the issue was Wed afternoon. I was turning on WP Super Cache to test the site upload speed.

Your help will be greatly appreciated!!

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

    esmi,

Thanks for the response. Is there a way to deactivate all pluggins without being able to access the WP-backend or switch the default theme? When I login, I cannot change any settings because of the blank section of the screen.

If so, I’d like to try that first. If not, I will upload all other files (your 4th suggestion).

    Thanks
    J

Thanks! Issue resolved. I went in and found out that it is the WP Super Cache Plugin causing the problems. Has anyone else had issues with WP Super Cashe? Is there a teak anyone has found that keeps WP Super Cache working?

    Thanks,
    J
