admin-ajax.php very long loading time (woocommerce)

hello all.

I recently launched a site with wordpress woocommerce.
I have a very long load time for admin-ajax.php as you can see here: pingdom

I search around the web and i cant find any solution. Does anyone here have any idea what I can do about it?

Although i’m running my WordPress site with WpEngine.

I have also noticed this problem and googled this page only 🙁
My site is WordPress with WooCommerce plugin too.

Does it have anything to do with email templates?

I’m using the latest versions of WP and WooCommerce and I’m too getting long wait times for admin-ajax.php

Same problem. And don’t forget: According to Amazaon causes 100 ms of extra load time a 1% drop in sales.

This has nothing to do with WooCommerce. It’s under WP Core.

I too had the same issue. admin-ajax.php took around 3 seconds to load. So I disabled the file. So, far I noticed nothing bad.

@mayasi – Probably too late, but definitely DO NOT simply disable admin-ajax.php. If you disable admin-ajax.php more likely than not your checkout will fail.
