    Hi

    I have UM set so that when a user registers they have to be approved by Admin. That works fine.

    But a problem I have just noticed, is if the Administrator adds a New User in WP-Admin the status of the new user defaults to “Awaiting Approval” and firing the “thank you for registering, we need to review your application” email to the new user.

    This is not right, and this did not happen when I first used the plug in some months ago. If the user is added by Admin, they should be bypassing the approval rule and going straight to “Approved” – that’s how it used to be.

    Has something changed? Is this is a bug?

    This is my last plea for help before I ask a developer to fix your plug in.

    I’d love a reply, I don’t know why it’s being ignored. Is it because you don’t agree this is a bug? Is it because you are busy (although are replying to others)? Is it because you don’t *have* to reply to free users?

    Sorry – just frustrated.

    To clarify then.

    Set to “require admin approval”. This works fine when a user registers themselves in the front end. But if the administrator sets up a new user in the back end using Users > Add New it still forces the user into the “approval” queue and sends them an email explaining they are under review. Clearly, if the admin has set them up they don’t need to go into “approval” they should go directly to “approved”.

    Anyway, here’s hoping for a reply this time.
