    Hi @frankr1,
Something is changed in your Website, maybe some plugin has been automatically updated, and it’s generating JS errors on the website front-end. If there is even one JS error all other front-end functions stop working. The “edit”, “close”, “delete” buttons are JS/AJAX powered buttons, and they cannot work as well.

It’s a good idea to disable other plugins, delete all caches and check it again. If you can’t find the problem maker plugin, just leave your forum URL. We’ll check the JS errors and let you know.

    Thank you @frankr1,
I see the JS files of wpForo are loaded with “defer” attribute. I think this is controlled by another plugin (probably a cache or optimizer plugin), because wpForo doesn’t have such an attribute. Please find the plugin which adds this attribute and disable this feature. Then delete all caches. wpForo JS files should not be set “defer”.

Oh boy… found the problem thanks to your hint: It was NOT a plugin problem, but a setting within the theme! It’s called “JS Defer loading”, which was turned on. After turning it off, the buttons worked again. Thanks 🙂
