# Adjusting list spacing

 * Thank you for the new options in 3.0.3, which have allowed me to simply my CSS
   again.
    I have not been able to find a way to reduce the spacing between entries
   in a compact list. This is particularly relevant when using a list in a widget.
   See the ‘Next event’ widget, at the bottom left of this page: [http://ivygreen.me.uk](http://ivygreen.me.uk).
   Please can you advise on the CSS elements to modify to reduce the spacing to 
   something like the ‘recent forum topics’ list beside it.

 * It looks like it is coming from the styling of your `ul` element in your theme
   stylesheet. There is a margin set to the bottom of it that appears like it could
   be causing that.
