hi – adjusting bounce rate to reflect time on site if single page viewing / no events
i would like to adjust how analytics calculates bounce rate to more accurately reflect time on site (rather time on single page) by utilizing event tracking api so that the sight pings analytics in 10 second increments
i am getting my info from here: http://briancray.com/posts/time-on-site-bounce-rate-get-the-real-numbers-in-google-analytics
the above post is 2011 — is it still relevant? is the calculation done the same way? or does analytics or yoast’s plug-in now compensate somehow
i understand how to paste in the code, as suggested, but i do not want to interfere with yoast’s functionally….
in sum, how do i change a single/non event page view of over 10seconds to not be considered a bounce?
