Support » Plugin: WooCommerce » Adjust stock when manually editing an order

    Hello,
I noticed recently, after updating WooCommerce to version 4.6 that when adding/removing manually a product in an order, the stock wont automatically adjust (increase or decrease) like it was before. This is not happening even when I change the order status back to processing from on hold.
This is how you want to work the latest versions of WooCommerce or its a bug?
In the order notes history I see only the message that the product X has been added or removed, but nothing about the adjustment of the stock.
    Thank you!

The ‘On-Hold’ status won’t update product inventory, as the order is currently “on-hold”, so it’s not cancelled, nor is it fulfilled.

If instead, you use the “Cancelled” status, that would return the products on that order back to inventory, as you see here:

The same would apply if you use the “Refund” function to refund a certain quantity of an item on a “Processing” or “Completed” order.

If you aren’t finding that works on your site, I would recommend doing a conflict test. We have a guide on how to test for conflicts here:
