Support » Plugin: PixelYourSite - Your smart PIXEL (TAG) Manager » AddToCart is fired on just viewing cart page in Woocommerce

    Hi,

The plugin tracks cart viewing as addition of all those products to cart again, which would screw up collected data.

To reproduce, add products one by one and then visit cart page. FB pixel tracking chrome extension will show that AddToCart was fired again for all products in cart, when the user goes to /cart/ page.

    Please fix!

    That’s an easy one 🙂

From the plugin WooCommerce tab, scroll down to the AddToCart event settings. You can turn ON/OFF button clicks or cart page events.

Thanks, that fixed it. But why does it even exist as a setting though? Who would want to pollute their data? Or there is a usecase I am missing?

I have the same problem and tried enabling and disabling the AddToCart Settings and I never have the AddToCart when I click on Add to Cart button.

On the other end, if I go to View Cart, the AddToCart is there.

    Hi,

Send me your site URL so I can check.

It’s possible for some plugins or themes to have a conflict with our AddToCart button event. This happens when the button default behavior is modified (like when a popup is added on the add to cart button click).

As for the Cart page event, as explained before, it can be easily turned ON or OFF.

    You can verify on http://www.greatiamwear.com

It’s enabled on the woocomerce tab.

One of the conflicts I was talking about. Can you disable the cart popup (right of the page) and test again?

Are you using a plugin for that popup, or is the theme that’s build like this?

It’s built in the theme, I don’t believe I can disable it.

So… We can’t find a solution for this?!

You can ask the theme developer for support.

We will also look for a solution, but I can’t promise you that it will be fixed on our side, since this is a particular conflict with a particular theme.

If it does, I’ll update you here.

If you could find a solution that would be awesome!

I’ll mail the theme dev as well.

    Thank you

I’m having a similar issue. Facebook is showing multiple AddToCart fires, but without even a link click. The site is http://www.earhoox.com and uses XStore theme. I’ve disabled the ‘AddToCart on cart page’ but it’s still happening. We do have the cart widget active in the upper right corner of our site, but not sure how that would affect it.

Can the plugin author confirm if XStore theme conflicts with this plugin? Or any other suggestions? Thank you!
