I was feeling that my site was a little slow… And I found that this plugin adds requests for at least 20 external sites. I don’t know why but seems like adverts. My site used to spend 5 seconds loading and with this reaches 40s. Too bad.

Here is a list of the external requests domains:

    Hi Manuel5cc,

Thank you for reaching out and providing feedback.
I’d be happy to clarify here a bit for better understanding.

We can confirm that the pixel you’re referencing is one of our partner pixels that fires as part of our ShareThis code. That said, our code and partner pixels load asynchronously and will not block your page content from loading.

Could you let us know specific details about the major problems with the site? In other words, were you experiencing errors (If yes, what were they and where did you see them)? Or was it issues with page load times (If yes, how did you determine this)? Any information will be useful for our team to review!

In my case I have done a with/without plugin test in the same conditions and the result was that it added 35 seconds to load time

I just had the same problem.

Simple Share Button Adder was generating over 30 redirects to the same type of ad networks or who knows what.

The weird thing is that my private test mirror using the same plugin version did not have the redirects loaded in the plugin. This makes me wonder if there is a security issue and the redirects are in fact malicious.

In any event, I am forced to remove the plugin from my sites and find a different solution.

Wow. Agreed. Too much garbage. Page load problem ninety percent solved by removing this plugin. Plugin seems more geared toward helping ad nets than wordpress users.

Google Webmasters shows the references to as BLOCKED. So you should consider removing that code. See this:
