    Hi… I’ve received the following message from a customer of my woocommerce shop. It seems that this has happened a couple of times now to different customers. It appears that shipping information is not clearing on occasions. I’m not sure if this is an abandoned order issue or something else. I’m sure it’s an easy fix, can anyone point me in the direction of a setting that may need changing. (The previous order in the shop was made by a customer from France).

    Message: I am trying to place an order and when I get through to the make payment screen it calculates the shipping amount for me being in France! I\’m definitely not! 🙂
    If you can tell me how to get around this that would be great.

    For me, the shipping country came up as the UK:

    That means that it’s based off a variable such as your shop’s address, given that I’m based in Sweden.

    Under WooCommerce > Settings > General, there’s a setting for “Default customer location.” I’d recommend setting this to “Geolocate”:

    Are you able to consistently reproduce the problem?

    Thanks for that! the settings were already set to Geolocate when the issue arose. I have changed it to Geolocate with page caching support so I’m not sure why it’s detecting Uk when you’re in switzerland.

    I can’t reproduce it consistently, but it seems to be an issue when people select products and then don’t go all the way through the order process, but also when people are trying to order at the same time (it seems to retain previous customer info for some reason) Are you able to advise why this may be?

    Don’t use Geolocate with Caching, as that could cause this kind of issue.

    I have to wonder if there’s some other caching enabled on your site – possibly through a plugin, or via your host. You’ll want to make sure the cart, checkout, and my account pages aren’t cached:
