Address Bar Displays Host Instead of Domain Name

    Hi all,

    I have my wordpress installed and hosted in a subdirectory of my existing hosting plan (the main/root is used for site #1). I purchased a new domain name to point at the subdirectory so that I can use it as a site #2. No issues with the wordpress installation, everything works fine.
    My issue is that when I click around to other pages, the address bar displays root.com/subdirectory/page instead of domain#2.com/page

    Is there a way that I can change it so that the address bar shows the new domain name instead of the root host?

    I wasn’t sure what my issue is called so I don’t know what to search (domain mapping?), so feel free to link other posts if this has already been addressed.
