• Hello All – I am having trouble modifying and adding the ‘tabs’ at the top of my site, for purpose of navigation. It was my impression adding a new page would create a new tab, however this does not seem to be the case. Even if I change it from parent to child under a different category, it still doesn’t show up under the drop-down. It just reroutes the location. I just want to change the titles of the existing tabs, as well as create new ones. Any advice?

  • You should consider using a Custom Menu created under Admin->Appearance->Menus. Here is a video tutorial on using this feature:

Thank you for taking the time to follow-up on my post. I did watch your video – but I do not have all the menu choices you have to make the modifications.

For example, at 1:23 of your video, I can see on the left side a choice titled ‘appearance’, with drop down options. I do not have this option. After comments, I just have testimonials, profile and tools.

Prior to 1:23, I saw you create a new page, and that page be added to the menu bar – that does not occur for me, either. I create a new page, the only way to access it is directly through the link created, i.e. site.com/newpage

Why might that be? I know I’m using 3.3.2. Anything to do with the permissions or settings as installed on the server? I just took over the project for someone else, I apologize for not having more information.

You are an Editor on the site, not an Administrator. To fully manage the site, you must be logged in as an Administrator.

Ah, well that would certainly explain the issue then. Thank you.
