Does anyone know of a plugin that will allow me to use the WordPress admin screens to add/manage additional bits of text or content elsewhere around my blog/site?

Let’s say for example I wanted to add a fixed paragraph below all my navigation, or some text on the homepage (within is_home()) that I can change from time to time.

Some very basic content management accessible from within WordPress admin would be most useful.

Can’t you get this through the theme editor? At least, that sounds like what you want to do (edit content within the theme templates).

you might find these two plugins interesting for inspiration:

You could use a list plugin to manage lists of things. You could also use a quote plugin which reads information from a text file and displays whereever you tell it. You could edit this file from admin.

Thanks for replies. I forgot this could be achieved through the Theme Editor, however the ‘get-a-post’ plugin turned out to be a much more user-friendly solution.

    Thanks again.

PS: I’m surprised you didn’t recommend your own plugin Kaf??

I was just considering the inside of the box when I read your request…
