 * How do I incorporate WP as a page within my current website? I’m totally non-
techie, blonde AND old. Please talk to me like I’m a kindergartener. I have a
website and would like to add simple WP blogging capability, however I don’t
know how to take the WP page where I log in and post my personal comments … and
then incorporate that page into my website for others to read and add their comments.
   Thanks for the help.

 * As someone who had the same goal–adding blogging capabilities to my web site
as opposed to turning it INTO a blog–I can tell you that if you’ve managed to
run your own web site for a while, you’re a lot smarter than you think!
 * And be prepared to change ISPs. Contact them, tell them what WP’s minimum requirements
are, ask if they are capable of handling the software, and hope they tell you
   the truth!

 * Just for the record: ISP = internet service provider. The company that provides
you the “wire” to be connected to the internet. Not to be confused with your **
host** that is operating a server to host your website.

 * Unless, of course, your ISP and host are one and the same, as with Earthlink,
   et al.

 * Absolutely you should go through the documenation and formulate a game plan.
I was very annoyed about having to wait a week before I could join an ISP that
worked with WordPress. But it turned out to be a blessing in disguise because
I was able to spend that week going through the WP website, and equally important,
doing some serious thinking about what I wanted to end up with.
 * May I suggest that you post a link to your current web site? That would be a
good way to get some input into how blogging can make it work better.
