adding wordpress to a current site

    Hello,

    I hope I can make this understandable…

I have designed a wordpress site for a company with a flash website.

They are wanting to somehow add the blog site to their current site’s url (i.e. currentsitename/blog) using the name “blog” for the wordpress site… So, could I just throw it all into a folder titled “blog” and bob’s-your-uncle?

I can’t wrap my head around whether this is possible. Whenever I’ve uploaded wordpress sites in the past I’ve put them into their own directory.

Would the permalinks come up okay? (i.e. currentsitename/blog/about.php etc.). What about that MySql database?

My poor head… Any assistance would be appreciated.
