Support » Themes and Templates » Adding Woocommerce – how do I duplicate a page template?

  • I have added the WooCommerce plugin to my existing website, which uses the Sliding Doors theme.

In order to add a WooCommerce template the instructions say you must duplicate the existing template’s page.php file. How do I do this? I can locate page.php in the Themes Editor, but I can’t see how to duplicate it.

  • You need to use FTP or Cpanel to access the files of your site on the server.

EDIT – you can make a copy of the existing page.php file from there or download a new copy of the theme here:

    Thanks for your help WPyogi.

I think I’m getting there – I’ve uploaded a duplicate page.php template to the cpanel and have renamed it woocommerce – the only thing is I can’t see it in the Themes Editor.

However there are now some ecommerce pages in the Sliding Doors style that I’m sure were not there before, so something seems to be working. It’s late and I have to get up early for work tomorrow so I think I’ll continue tomorrow evening.
