Adding widgets to header

Hello,
I found a way to add a widget to my header above the social icons and navbar. However, the items I add to this widget appear on top of each other instead of side by side. I hope that makes sense! Can someone please tell me what the code would be to have multiple text items/ widgets side by side above the navbar instead of on top of each other? Sort of like another navrow, just with widgets instead of links?
