 * Hello,
    I am going to be teaching a class in the fall and in preparation I am
   trying to build a site based on WordPress that allows users (students) to log
   in and see their grades, assignments, etc. Is there a way to do this with WordPress,
   or should I look to something more like Drupal? I know WordPress pretty well
   which is why I want to use it. Any tips would be great. Thanks,

 * hm. that sounds like something that could be pretty tricky. a plugin might work
   something out

 * 1. You can make the settings that says, “the people have to login in order to
   comment”
 * 2. Then make one post called “grades” and in that post, you yourself make the
   first comment, and in that comment write down all the grades and scores.
 * 3. since people have to login in order to comment, they will not be able to see
   the first comment unless they register and login.
 * Similarly, you can create another post for assignments and do the same trick.
 * This is just a quick and easy way of doing it.
 * Thanks

 * I am not so sure about this one. If logging in is a requirement for comments
   that applies only to the commenting but you can still see all the comments…

 * Does it matter if students see other students grades? I know I’d find it a breach
   of my privacy if everyone knew my grade.

 * Thanks for all the comments,
    I am hoping to have each student have their own
   section so that other students can’t see each others grades. However I could
   get tricky and use the last 4 of their social or something instread of their
   names.
 * Ideally though I’d like to have each person be able to log in to their section.
   I may need to mix and match WordPress and PHPbb or something to pull it off.

   Thanks again,

 * Oops. Sorry. It was my mistake.
 * Thanks Moshu for pointing it out.
