 * I want to add a third column to my theme to add google add words to my site. 
   Can someone point me somewhere that will show me how to do this. I browsed the
   theme development section on the wordpress site but didn’t seem to find anything
   about adding a third column

 * It will probably be easier just to switch over to a three column theme.
