 * I want to explan the purpose of my blog, but I don’t know how to add simple text
   to my theme so it will show up in the left column. Where is it added in the index.
   php or to the data base… where?

 * What I did was attempt to add text in the header.php to see what would happen.
   As you can see it stretched across the page.
