adding subfolders to wordpress root

    Hi,
    added a php forum and a calendar script to my blog root
    but i get forbidden when i use the click through to the popup date
    also the forum is htpassword protected
    is this due to the hcacess of the wordpress

    wordpress is situated in the root of the website.
    forum is in /phpbb/
    calendar is in /calendar/
