Adding Sidebar to Pages

    Hi,

    Please forgive my ignorance as I am new to wordpress and just trying to find my way around things!
    This is my website: http://www.phasepark.com
    What I want to do is set a sidebar to the ‘home’ page for a scrolling latest news.
    So I have gone into widgets, added it to my sidebar but nothing is showing up on my website?
    Does this have something to do with the settings of my page/website?
    I am really stuck!

    Is your theme currently supporting widgets? If not, you have to add them to your theme ( see dynamic_sidebar functions ) .

    This question is very theme specific, some might have it, some might not have it.
