Did you see the Documentation?
Yeppers – I can get the sidebar to show up BELOW the Featured Pages just fine – I’m trying to put it to the left or right instead. I guess if I have to, I can rig a static post or page that contains the features instead of using the built-in functionality, but I was hoping to not have to.

I ended up creating a static page & adding my featured image links, then enabled the page to show sidebars. That was the best I could do so far :/
