# Adding shortcode to Nextgen gallery

 * Hi, How do I add shortcode to my gallery’s? When I click on a gallery, it lists
   all the photos in the gallery but above the photos there is a wording which says“
   Gallery settings (Click for more settings)”. I try clicking where it says but
   nothing happens.
 * I am trying to add short code: [nggallery id=”1″ template=”ngsellphoto”] to all
   my photos which are in the gallery.

   what you want to achieve, but shortcode must be placed into pages/posts editor.

   issues with the Gallery Settings just displaying as a bar (no panel beneath it)
   then that is one issue. Please send us a Bug Report () with your site’s specifics,
   we have a patch/replacement file that will help to sort that out.
 * The other issue, as [@tizz](https://wordpress.org/support/users/tizz/) noted (
   thanks), would have to do with inserting the display mechanism (read: shortcode,
   in this case) into a post and/or page.
