 * Hi, I am still building my Make theme site (currently using the Make Child THeme),
and was testing out the Shopify Lite Buy Button option for adding products to
pages. When I go into a page, Columns, Banner or Gallery are the choices for
blocks. I have found I can only add products to the Column option. When I go
into edit a block in a column, there is an option there for Shopify (since I
have the Shopify lite installed for testing), the Shopify Add a Product button
is next to the Add Media button. But, what I was reading about embedding the
code for shopify products is mostly adding it via a blog post. I am trying to
create a different page for each collection, and just trying to test a product
   or two on the page.
 * While I seemingly can ‘Add a Product’ with the button inside the editing of a
column block, it isn’t clickable to view the other photos of the product that
I had added when I created the product. So then I thought, ok, so maybe I DO
need to embed code somewhere to make the product button/box allow you to click
it to see all the other images for that particular product, BUT… I don’t know
how or where to embed the code at. I thought maybe it was in the Text area of
the edit column box, didn’t work, then maybe I should try the Code and /code
button (which doesn’t work and if I embed the code within those and try the /
code at the end of it), the page just goes white and keeps spooling forever.
 * I am So confused right now, and only have 1day left on my Shopify Lite button
trial and I still can’t trial any of the buttons to see how they would work properly.
I was going to just try one of the 3 themes that Shopify recommended to do this,
but I like Make theme, and had already worked on getting it to look how I wanted.
 * If there is something I am missing, please let me know, I Really want to get
this shopify button to work and to be able to Click the image on the button,
and actually have the image blow up, and to be able to read the product description
and view the other images for that product. At current, all I see is a thumbnail
of the product/title/and buy now button with price, and cannot view any zoom
in of the product image, I see no other product images for that product, and
cannot read any other description or details for the product past the simple
   things outlined above.
 * thanks in advance for your help.

 * So Basically, it looks like I can Only add a Shopify Buy Button collection of
products to the Default Template on a page, when I attempt to add it in Builder
Template mode, that is when the page goes white and spools and never loads. When
I add a Shopify Buy Button Collection via default template mode, while I am able
to open a pop up to see the product description and such, I cannot view the other
product images, nor am I able to read the title of the product from the thumbnail
button view prior to opening, nor does the add to cart button show up.
 * When I add a Shopify Product individually via a Column, while the product title
is now seen and the Button price has it’s official color I chose (it didn’t in
the other mode), I cannot Click the actual product on the page to view the description
   or other images.
 * I Really like your theme, but I am worried that Shopify just does not function
well within it, which is weird considering the addition of the Shopify Add Product
to a page button within the Builder Template for Make.
 * While I only have a few hours left to my trial for Shopify Lite buttons, I doubt
they will be able to help me much considering this might be Theme related as
Well as Shopify Lite plugin related (though I will chat with them later to see
if they have any input considering I haven’t received a response here yet. I
am also worried they will tell me to try one of the 3 themes that might be more
compatible, (which I did, but still prefer your theme over theirs).
 * As a side note, I had disabled Any other plugins I had to see if it fixed anything
   and it didn’t.

 * Hey there,
 * Sorry you’re having trouble with this. We haven’t tested Make with this plugin,
so I’m afraid I’m not going to be much help here. What you’re describing definitely
   sounds like a theme/plugin conflict.
 * For what it’s worth, we built Make to be fully compatible with WooCommerce.
 * Good luck with your project!

 * Hi, thanks for responding, I’ve tried WooCommerce with Make, and while it seems
fine, the issue I have is in order to get some of the perks you have to buy a
gazillion plugins/apps to go along with it. I just can’t afford all the plugins
I’d need to tweak it the way I like.
The main issue I have with WooCommerce
at the moment, are the shipping features, they only allow a USPS flat Rate Domestic
and USPS Flat Rate International shipping rate option. USPS raised their prices
for International dramatically (like $10 more of an already high price). I was
just baffled that there were no options to put in a USPS first class mail rate
for both domestic and international. Like, that should be automatically there.
I did research and found you have to buy a plugin just to add first class REGULAR
shipping rate. I am just stumped by this.
 * Anyway, bummed Make doesn’t work with Shopify Lite, maybe they will test it soon?
Although my trial ends shortly today.
    thanks again.

 * Hi Eyescream,
 * I just wanted to thank you for the content of your last post. I am using Shopify
and am sick of being nickel and dimmed to death with a bunch of apps needed to
   perform basic ecommerce functions.
 * I recently came across a WP plugin to migrate shopify stores to woocommerce.
I was seriously considering this until I saw your post. Sounds like Woo has the
same “bleed em dry” philosophy that shopify has.
 * Thanks for sharing!

 * Hi MizJewels,
I feel ya. I do love the Make theme, but ya, I am having issues
with both Shopify and Woocommerce as far as addons and the above mentioned incompatibility
   of Make with Shopify Lite.
 * I am currently doing a trial on WPeasycart. So far I am able to do all my shipping
options I wanted, but still have yet to test out product creation and how it
looks and acts on the site. While it may not be akin to the look I dug with the
Shopify Lite option, I might give up looks if if functions properly and has the
   features I desire.
They have a 14day trial and you download/install 2 things
for it, (the WPEasycart app and admin app which the 2nd can be done within the
1st app once installed). They allow 5 products to be created with the trial version.
 * It looks like they have a $50 version (limited products) and $80 version (the
one I am leaning toward for unlimited products, coupon codes, payment gateways,
etc) But, it is not monthly. While $80 is a bit out of my price atm, I prefer
one price purchase (vs monthly), and it seems a Lot of features are included
for the price and I am not seeing a lot of “addon” prices for this or that. If
it works than $80 will be a no brainer.
 * I would suggest maybe checking them out as well?
 * I just Really hope it plays nice with the Make theme, (I am hopeful). Much luck
   to you too.
