Support » Plugin: 1player » Adding self hosted audio file to article?

  • Adding video content from the WP media library to an article produces a shortcode like [video src="734"] and leads to a video presentation on the website as expected.

When I try the same with audio (e.g. mp3, mediaelementjs as player) I end up with a WP standard link that’s not wanted. Adding shortcode [audio src="123"] manually seems to do something in the right direction, but leads to a “dead” operating system standard player (“OS X”, “QuickTime” in my case) on the website – clickable, but without any function. I tried various media and media file settings, but with no avail.

Did anyone make it to a playing audio file using this plugin? If so, what settings and workflow did you use to bring up your results?

I’m looking for a neat, simple media player plugin for self hosted media files managed by the WP media library, making integration of media content via mouse click (without typing cryptic shortcodes) reality. “1player” is near to this and it would be glad to see it fully functional…
