# Adding “Read more” button

 * Hello all,
 * I’ve just installed a template and all is running okay until I create a post.
   My website contains alot of images (Its a Photoshop tutorial site).
 * Any how, take a look for yourself. [http://flux-humor.co.uk/](http://flux-humor.co.uk/)
 * As you can see, the first blog post is really long due to the text and images.
   Is there any way I can only limit what people can see on the home page until 
   they click “Read more”. Does that make sense?

 * in your dashboard go to appearance –> theme editor
 * /wp-admin/theme-editor.php
 * select index.php from the right side bar.
 * in this, search for the word
 * the_content
 * replace it with the word
 * the_excerpt
 * then click the “update file” button.
