I have a two part concern.

I have my current feed enabled. I want to add more products to it. I updated the feed settings to include those products and saved the feed. However, when I re-process the feed in merchant center, it doesn’t add those additional products to merchant center. Do I have to remove that current feed in merchant center and re-add the URL feed again?

Second concern is I’m now getting a Delimiter Detection Failed error on the feed after re-syncing. This never happened before. Products are all still active. In the file merchant center provides to download, it’s blank and doesn’t give a specific line item to update. Any thoughts on this?

Thanks for your help as always!

    Hi @zoso1699,

As for the first issue. Just to be sure, it often happens that after updating the feed data, your browser still shows you an “old” (cached) version of the feed. Could you open the feed again and refresh the browser using CNTRL-F5 to clear the cache? Just to make sure the feed is actually still showing the issue.

Also, be aware that our free plugin only supports a maximum of 100 products per feed. So it could also be that you past that product limit and thus the products above 100 are not included in the feed. You could bypass this by spreading your product over more than one feed, eg a feed per category.

As for the second issue. If you don’t see any issues in the feed the best way to proceed is to contact your Google Helpdesk. They usually are very helpful and probably can help you identify the issue with the feed.

    Thanks for the response.

You are correct, clearing cache helped resolve the issue and the new products appear.

Somewhat unrelated, but I recently updated pricing for some products. These prices appear as mismatched. For some reason, the feed detects the old price, importing to merchant center, and merchant center detects the updated price on the website, so the products are not approved. How do I get the feed to update this correct price? Is this also a cache issue of some sort? I’ve updated the feed several times and cleared cache but still appears as mismatched.

Delimiter issue has resolved itself somehow, but now getting an error for: Invalid or missing required attribute: id, which is line 135.

What is the source you used for the price attribute? I assume regular_price? Did you add a calculation to that price?

As for the error; could you send me the complete error message? I now can’t see the name of the file the line 135 is pointing to.

For the error, I download it, and all it says is this: 135 Invalid or missing required attribute: id Error

The price is the regular_price. The products that have the updated price, have a discounted price on the website listing which is what MC detects, but not the feed. I see a field for Sale Price. If I select that, will it then pull the correct price? Also, for those prices not discounted on the site, will it list the regular price still or try to search for a sale price and result in an error if it’s not on sale?

    Thank you.

I’m not sure what MC stands for, but you might try a setup that uses the Sale Price if it’s not empty and the Regular Price for all other products.

You can find an example here: https://pasteboard.co/KaWstiT.png

MC is merchant center. Well, I can only choose between sale price or regular price in the fields, not both.

If you check out the example you see that you can set a filter and with that filter tell the plugin what source to use under what conditions. In that way you can use the sale price and the regular price as source.

The example shows you a setup where the plugin uses the Sale price as source when the Sale price is not empty and the Regular price in all other situations.

Great thanks for sending the screenshot, super helpful. So now it can use both the regular and sales price. I saved the feed and will check tomorrow if it works, thanks.

    Great everything looks good thanks.

Well, only problem now is I removed some products from the feed 5 days ago and Merchant Center still shows them. Just to clarify, when updates are made in the feed app, I hit Save feed and it should update this in the next scheduled update, correct? Thank you.

No, you should also (re)generate the feed again. So you need to click the “Save & Generate Feed” button in order to update the feed.

Ah, got it. I did that actually last night and this morning, all updated! Thank you for your patience and help on these matters. Have a great week.
