Thank you. The app is for the dot com version of WordPress. I use a browser.
The image block icon is not showing. Is it the square with a mountain range at the bottom?

The app is for the dot com version of WordPress.
It works on the self-hosted (.org) version of WordPress too. Just choose that option when adding your site in the app.
The image block icon is not showing.
Are you adding the block following the steps at https://wordpress.org/support/article/wordpress-editor/#adding-a-block ?
The steps aren’t clear as they don’t have any image.
I have to upload the photos from my iPad and my storage account is almost full. I have to add dozens of photos yet.
Add Media is the only option without trying to decipher the links.

There is a video embedded at the link I shared. If that’s not enough, this might help: https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/#adding-a-block
Despite being for the .com version, the process is the same.
Thank you. I appreciate your help with this.
My screen looks nothing like the examples and the instructions are impossible to follow.
I’m frustrated because I used to write plugins and hand code my websites. I now can’t do simple stuff

What version of WordPress are you on, and are you using a third-party editor, like Classic Editor, Elementor, or Beaver Builder?

Ok, that editor was essentially discontinued, hence I did not think to link to its documentation.
