 * Hi,
 * I have created a Post which is quite long and which I would like to split into
   multiple pages with a navigation page 1, page 2 etc at the bottom.
 * I have tried, via the editor to add <!nextpage-> but Elementor warns that this
   could break the page?
 * I also looked in the toolbar whilst in Elementor editing mode, but can’t see
   anything that would do this.
   I’d be obliged if you could offer any suggestions
   on how to achieve this.Many Thanks

 * Hello,
 * Elementor does not natively support the tag `<!nextpage->`in the same way that
   the classic WordPress editor does. Here are some suggestions on how you can achieve
   a multipage post in Elementor:
 * 1. Manual Pagination Using Buttons or Anchors
 * You can manually create a multi-page effect by dividing your content into separate
   sections within Elementor and then using buttons or anchor links for navigation
   between them. Here’s how you could do it:
    - **Divide your content:** Create separate sections for each “page” of your
      content within the same Elementor page.
    - **Add navigation:** At the end of each section, add buttons or links that
      say “Next Page” or “Previous Page,” linking to the next or previous section.
      You can use Elementor’s Anchor widget to link directly to different sections
      of the page, simulating a multi-page navigation.
 * 2. Elementor Posts Widget
 * For blog posts, you can use the Elementor Posts widget, which allows you to display
   posts in a grid, carousel, or other formats. While this doesn’t split a single
   post into multiple pages, it can be used to create a paginated list of posts,
   which might be useful depending on your specific needs.3. Customization with
   Shortcodes or Plugins
 * If you’re comfortable with a bit of coding or willing to use additional plugins,
   you can achieve more traditional pagination within Elementor:
    - **Shortcodes:** Some plugins or custom code snippets provide shortcodes that
      can be inserted into Elementor’s Text Editor widget to create pagination.
    - **Elementor Add-ons:** There are several third-party Elementor add-ons that
      might offer more granular control over pagination and multi-page layouts.
      Plugins like “Elementor Custom Breakpoints” might offer solutions but always
      check compatibility and functionality according to your needs.
 * Important Tips:
    - **Backup First:** Always back up your site before making significant changes,
      especially when experimenting with new plugins or code.
    - **Test in Staging:** If possible, test these changes in a staging environment
      first to avoid any impact on your live site.
    - **Compatibility Check:** Ensure that any plugins or add-ons you decide to
      use are compatible with your version of WordPress and Elementor.
 * I’d also suggest you check out our [Elementor Community](https://www.facebook.com/groups/Elementors/)
   forum. We have created it to connect Elementor users together and share knowledge
 * These suggestions help you address the resource spikes and update issues with
   Elementor. If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please
   feel free to ask.

 * HJi,
   Thanks for that,
 * The problem is that the post is very big and takes ages to load in elementor
   so I need to split it by using a navigation bar.
   Also, I’m using free version
   so the plugin does not have the now and next available?

 * Hi [@rik0399](https://wordpress.org/support/users/rik0399/),
 * If the post is large and takes a long time to load in Elementor, splitting it
   with a navigation bar is a good solution.
 * Yes, in the free version of Elementor, the “now” and “next” features/pagination
   widget is not available.
 * Kind regards,

 * Hi there,
 * Unfortunately, this feature is only provided in the Elementor Pro.
 * There might be third-party plugins available that have such a feature so you
   can join our[ ](https://forum.elementor.com/)[Elementor Facebook Group](https://www.facebook.com/groups/Elementors/)
   and check with our users there for such a plugin recommendation.
 * Finally, I would like to apologize for not being able to provide this particular
   solution at the moment. I hope for your understanding.
 * I wish you all the best, and have a great day!

 * Hi,
 * Well, we find that wholly unacceptable,
 * This is a ‘basic’ function?
 * Why on earth would that be excluded?
 * Surely you need to take another look at this and reconsider?

 * Hi [@rik0399](https://wordpress.org/support/users/rik0399/),
 * Actually, I also consider it would be great to achieve this. If you like, you
   can submit this as a feature request on GitHub: [https://github.com/orgs/elementor/discussions/categories/feature-request](https://github.com/orgs/elementor/discussions/categories/feature-request)
 * Alternatively, there could also be third-party plugins or add-ons available that
   can offer that feature so I would advise you to join Facebook groups such as
   [https://www.facebook.com/groups/elementorandwhichplugin/](https://www.facebook.com/groups/elementorandwhichplugin/)
   and check with our users there for such a plugin recommendation.
 * Thank you so much for your kind understanding.
 * Have an amazing day!
 * Regards,
