    Hello,

Just a quick question, because I don’t understand how MailPoet handles this…

Let’s say I have 100 subscribers and 10 welcome emails that send for 10 weeks. What if I want to add welcome email 11 later? My goal is simply that everyone that had welcome email 10 also gets email 11, but not the subscribers who got until email 8 for example and still need to finish the series of welcome emails, they need to get email 11 later.

So basically the question is how to change a series of welcome emails in a nice way…

    Regards,
    Bob

    Bob,

You seem to be using welcome emails as a drip campaign replacement, which is not what they are intended for 😉 Eventually we will implement drip campaigns, but not now.

In terms of how it works: when someone subscribes to your list via a form, the plugin cycles through every single welcome notification and determines if that person meets the notification’s criteria. If criteria are met, the plugin creates a scheduling job for the notification to be sent to that person. There is no way to modify that job. Also, if you decide to add a new welcome notification, it will only get scheduled for new subscribers, not for the existing ones.

We will look into providing hooks for various actions/events once the final version is out.

    Regards,
    MailPoet Team.
