• Hello,

Since a recent update of WordPress it seems not possible to add new terms when adding a post and seeing them right away. It looks like a JavaScript error.

First thing I tried, is using the jQuery Migrate Helper plugin. But that didn’t have the effect I hoped for.

In the console, I see the following: “post.min.js?ver=5.6.1:2 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘responses’ of undefined”

This problem only exists when using the Classic Editor by the way. When using Gutenberg, this doesn’t seem to happen.

Do you know what might be going on and how to solve this?

    Thanks in advance!
    -Kevin

I’m unable to replicate the problem on my site using classic editor with a custom post type and custom taxonomy. I thus suspect interference from a plugin or your theme. Try switching to a twenty* default theme and deactivating all plugins other than classic editor and whatever is registering the taxonomy and post type as applicable. Hopefully that resolves the problem. You can then narrow down the cause by restoring your theme and plugins one at a time until the problem recurs.

    Hi @bcworkz ,

I’ll go ahead and try that. I thought it might be a known issue in WP.
