If the editor screen isn’t loading, the first thing that comes to mind is a javascript error potentially preventing the rest of the page from loading.
Since it sounds like you’re very early in the process, i wonder if restarting from a fresh registration may provide better results.
That said, I’m also curious what the post type slugs are that you’re trying to register, in case they could be causing potential issues as well.

Post type slug is templates. (Is this a potential issue?)
So when i changed the post type slug from “template” to “templates”.
Tried to delete and recreate the post type, but not working.
those technically aren’t reserved terms, but I could easily believe them being potentially problematic.
That said, I just registered my own “template” post type, and am not seeing anything amiss with the editor screen, both block and classic.
Is this happening with any other post type? Are you able to temporarily disable plugins to see if the issue goes away?
