Adding New Plugins From Repository

    Getting the error “An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with WordPress.org or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums.”

    This is across all my sites. I’m unable to install a new plugin from, or even search, the repository. I’m not sure what the cause is. Previous iterations had no issues with the plugin repository.

    Currently running WP 5.8.2 (fairly vanilla installs) on PHP8.0.x

    Is anyone else seeing this?

    No seeing any issue myself.

    What does Tools>Health Check tell you ( I’m guessing but possible some required PHP modules are missing )

    problem was solved. it was in the repository itself. perhaps their servers were down. thanks
