 * Where would I go to add some ad code if I wanted it to appear between my header
   and the posts/sidebars? I have a child theme and not super experienced with code.

 * TIA!

 * Hi Georgina – there are several tutorials around that describe how to modify
   the header.php or page.php files to insert ads. But, probably the easiest solution
   is to try a plugin like [this one](https://wordpress.org/plugins/ad-inserter/).

 * Thank you. I have now tested several plugins for inserting ads and they are are
   making my CPU stats go crazy. I probably have too many plugins anyway so want
   to avoid one more if I can. If anyone has a link to a good tutorial I’d be really
   grateful!

 * If you don’t mind doing php mods you might find [this information](http://www.siteground.com/tutorials/wordpress/banners.htm)
   helpful.
