• I have been searching but cannot find a decent tutorial on setting up tabs in my WordPress site’s sidebar. It’s a child theme of twenty eleven. I can create the tabs but I need to show recent posts from two different categories (one in each tab) with a thumbnail image. I have a link to a site that shows what I’m trying to achieve. If you scroll half way down you’ll see the tabs (popular, latest, comments, tags) I only need to show two categories (NEWS/ EVENTS) I’d prefer to create my own but if there’s a widget that will allow me to do this that will work too. Thanks for any help

  • It’s not too hard to do this yourself, but it’s probably beyond the scope of this forum. But there are plenty of plugins that will pull recent posts from a certain category. You can view some of those here, and hopefully find one that does what you need.

Thanks dkotter – I will check these out. Do you know where I could find a decent tutorial that would lead me in the right direction even if it’s not exactly what I’m trying to do?
