Support » Fixing WordPress » Adding JavaScript to Post

  • I’d like to include some JavaScript (specifically a Google maps script) in one of my blog entries. However, WordPress breaks the xscript by changing ” and ‘ into curly quotes like “ and ’ is there any way to tell WordPress to leave a section of markup alone?

FYI I’ve now found http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Javascript which offers some helpful suggestions about exactly this issue. The Yahoo based search box on WordPress’s site couldn’t find this though. Google picked it right up without even a site search.

Look for the AdSense Deluxe plug-in. It will let you define a short piece of html code to insert in your post wherever you want a javascript and then will serve up the javascript properly.
