• I’m trying to add multiple images into a blog post. If I add in around 20 or so from the media library, it’ll all fine. But if I choose more (say, 60+) nothing happens.
The images all upload correctly and can be added one at a time, or up to about 20 at a time. If I click ‘insert into post’ when selecting more than around 60 images, the dialogue box closes and nothing is inserted.
I’m running WordPress 4.8.1 on TSOhost (who can’t see any issues). I get the same issue with all my plugins disabled. I’ve just optimised my database which is now around 20MB.
I’m running a Flothemes theme, but I’m not sure if that would be relevant.
Running the Chrome developer console, there are no errors thrown up.
Additionally, I’ve got a friend with the same issue. They’re on Bluehost and running a different theme (and slightly different plugins)
Any help would be really appreciated!

  • This is due the server timing out when attempting to run the upload function. It’s not uncommon at all on basic shared hosting.

Tip: Optimize the images for web before uploading.

The images are already uploaded – they’re all sat in the media library. This is the insert-into-post bit.
Additionally, same hosting account, different WordPress website, same images, and it works fine.
Is there a debug log for WordPress anywhere?
