I thought maybe the problem would be resolved in the next update, but the current update (3.8.3) still has the same issue. I refreshed my browser, deleted my cache and it is still the same. * This is the error message: “Not Acceptable * An appropriate representation of the requested resource /new/wp-admin/themes. php could not be found on this server. * Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.” * What can I do here? Working in Chrome browser on windows 7, if that makes any difference. I need to get to work on some sites, and can’t do it without being able to upload any images. I tried in IE as well, and still the same. Also, when I try to add images in media mananger, I get http error. I also re-installed the new version of WP, and nothing. This is a server error, and it is a little unusual. Мучаюсь уже несколько месяцев. Раньше можно было без проблем вставить картинку прямо с компьютера, сейчас этого сделать нельзя. Когда пытаюсь вставить картинку в статью выдается ошибка. Приходиться вставлять картинку с компьютера сначала в медиафайлы, потом заходить в них и только через ссылку вставлять, и то вставляется не с первого раза. You should see both errors in your error logs. * It is possible that some directory permissions have changed, preventing WordPress from writing to WP-Content. I deactivated all plugins except for Akismet. On the media page, however, before it gave me the http error. Now that is gone away and replaced with the 404 error as I stated before. * [mechx1](https://wordpress.org/support/users/mechx1/) * (@mechx1) * [12 years, 1 month ago](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/adding-images-header/#post-4808781) * SkyeMoody, it might be best for you to open a new thread, you don’t seem to have the same issue. * dianasather1, from your troubleshooting actions, I’ll guess that you have run into the Mod_security server module that periodically causes 406 errors. I suggest that you get Support to turn it off temporarily to see if that makes the issue go away. If they suggest a specific mod to your .htaccess file to get this done you should do that, but I don’t think you should edit .htaccess otherwise.
