    Hi, i’m looking to add an image rotator script to sidebar.php and was wondering if anyone could give me some pointers? The script can be found here; http://www.alistapart.com/articles/betterrotator/

    I had a go at copying part of rotator.php into the < img class in sidebar.php but no joy, anyone any ideas? Thanks.

    Well if you are using their script, you dont have to do any copying. You just upload the files in the zip to a location on your server, then do a php include (as the page you linked to describes) in the sidebar.php and viola.

    Already tried that, I need to specify where to put the images in sidebar.php? Which just doing an include doesn’t do it seems.

    Hmm, I tried changing the code so where the image would normally appear it has; Here is a picture of a scientist:
    <?php showImage(); ?>

    But its now saying it can’t read the .ini file?

    Any help much appreciated.

    Where is the .ini file? Is it in the same directory as the rotator script?

    Does it make any difference if you edit the script to include the full path of the .ini file?

    Yeah all files are in the same directory, tried including the full path in the rotator script; (Blog/wordpress/wp-content/themes/headspace/images.ini) but its still saying it can’t read the .ini file.

    Thanks.

    hi everyone. does anyone know of any alternatives to the script discussed in this thread?

    I use Matt’s Random Image Script – see it in the sidebar at my site here

    Have you tried the RndImgDisplayer WordPress plugin by WauloK? It’s pretty easy to set up and use. It can be found at:
